Diplomacy with Iran is Appeasment if Terrorism

On October 30, 2007 Barack Obama said the US ‘’should be… talking to Iran directly about the potential carrots that we can provide in terms of them being involved in the World Trade Organization, or beginning to look at the possibilities of diplomatic relations being normalized.’’
President Bush, while not naming Sen. Obama personally, responded to his notion on May 15 in a speech to Israel’s Knesset saying, ‘’Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.’’
Sen. Obama took Bush's comments as a diresct attack and fired back at Bush calling his remarks a ‘’false political attack… Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists…’’
Does Sen. Obama not know what Iran’s policies are and who Iran’s president is?
Iran’s President is a Terrorist
Iranian President Mahmood Ahmadinejad is a terrorist. He has a warrant out for his arrest in Austria for the 1989 murder of a Kurdish leader in Vienna. He has been identified by 6 US hostages as the leader of the 1979 take-over of the US Embassy in Tehran. He has trained terrorists and suicide bombers for Iran. And all of this has been confirmed by the former Iranian President Bani Sadr.
Terror as a Tool in Iran’s Domestic Policy
Domestically terror is used to scare homosexuals. Iranian law states if a male child is raped, that child receives 74 lashes with a whip. Adults are executed.
Iranian women are treated as slaves. They are forced to serve their fathers and husbands like dogs. If they refuse they are imprisoned and beaten; some are executed. If a girl the age of 9 or older is raped she faces the death penalty under the law. If not executed by the state she is considered a disgrace to her family and subject to death at the hands of her father or by the men of the community by public stoning. In 2001 a woman was stoned to death for making a pornographic video.
People in Iran that advocate freedom of speech, government or religion are imprisoned, beaten or executed. Floggings are given for simply possessing a bible. 70 year old men receive 30 lashes and 4 months in prison for walking their dog.
Terror in Iran’s Foreign Policy
Iran’s foreign policy involves funding terror groups that kill innocent men, women and children by suicide bombings and lobbing rockets into peaceful communities in Israel. Iran funds insurgents that are entering Iraq and Afghanistan and killing people who want a free representative government and US soldiers. Iran through Ahmadinejad’s rhetoric makes terroristic threats to Israel, the US and all countries that support freedom on a daily basis.
Isn’t saying that the US should sit down and talk with a state and a president that implements policies such as these, which are the very definition of terrorism, suggesting that the US negotiate with terrorists?
Why the US Cannot Have Diplomatic Ties with Iran
Obama suggested diplomacy with Iran. Diplomacy in any manner, directly or indirectly, with Ahmadinejad—a murderer, a terrorist, a man who kills 9 year old girls for raping grown men and maintains that a magical Jew rules the western world—or Iran is contrary to everything that the US stands for. It would send the message that terrorism is a legitimate form of advancing state initiatives.
The US is the leader of the Free World. As John Kennedy once said, ‘’ We preach freedom around the world, and we mean it…’’
